Sue Wiley recently returned from a trip to France where she and seven other Texas pastel artists were selected to exhibit work sponsored by the French Societe des Pastellistes, the oldest pastel society in the world found by Edgar Degas and others. Sue exhibited four works and the work was viewed by more than 40,000 visitors over a two-month period.
Diana, Raphael, Libby, Francoise, Mary Beth, Deb, and Sue
Sue traveled to Saint Florent to attend the opening festivities of the exhibit and was honored to have her paintings hanging with those of Master Pastelists from France and throughout Europe. She also was asked to provide a short speech, in (rusty) French, thanking the Societe for the opportunity given to the Texas artists. Additional work completed from the trip will be exhibited in the Dallas area this winter and next spring.

Drama Queens
I just found this picture on Rae's blog. She took a picture of me at Vicki's opening and I was clowning around. Frankly I think the lady on the wall is much more dramatic than I am. Also, my legs are slimmer than that....a little. Great painting Rae. Fun!.. Sue NG.
